About the role: As the Line Cook at Woodington Lake Golf Club, you will prepare and cook breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu items with consistency and attention to quality, supporting the kitchen team in delivering exceptional dining experiences for our members and guests. You will assist with ingredient prep, operate kitchen equipment safely, maintain a clean and organized workspace, and collaborate with chefs and team members to ensure smooth, efficient kitchen operations. In all you do, you will uphold the club’s standards and values, contributing to a positive, professional, and team-oriented culture.
Purpose Statement: To ensure every service is executed with consistency, urgency, and high culinary standards.
What you’ll do:
- Prepare and cook breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu items with consistency and attention to quality.
- Assist with chopping, portioning, measuring, and organizing ingredients for efficient service.
- Work the line during service, ensuring timely and high-quality food preparation.
- Support the kitchen team in executing a menu that reflects the club’s values and meets member and guest expectations.
- Operate grills, fryers, ovens, and other kitchen equipment safely and effectively.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized kitchen, following all health and safety regulations.
- Assist with inventory management, including stocking, rotation, and minimizing food waste.
- Collaborate with chefs and team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Follow kitchen protocols and food safety guidelines at all times.
- Support general kitchen duties, including dishwashing and cleaning, as needed.
What you bring:
- Previous line cook experience in a restaurant, club, or catering environment; Safe Food Handling certification preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask and maintain high standards in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
- Collaborative, positive attitude with a focus on teamwork and a solid understanding of food safety protocols.
What You’ll Need:
- Must have a flexible working schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow)
- Comfort with both fast-paced service days and slower periods
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Reliable transportation
- Physical stamina for walking the course, standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, and carrying equipment
