Location: Chestnut Manor Care Home, 63 Cambridge Park, London, E11 2PR

Salary: up to £30,000 per annum

Hours: 40 hours per week, 8am to 5pm, shifts across Monday to Sunday

Come and make a difference with the team at Westgate Healthcare! We are looking for a compassionate and caring Housekeeping Supervisor to join our family at Chestnut Manor Care Home. We are looking for individuals who share our values, have an interest in helping others, a can-do attitude and who will treat the people we support with care, compassion and respect.

As Head Housekeeper you will lead and manage the Domestic team to ensure the care home is always clean, safe and comfortable for our residents, staff and visitors. If you are passionate about making a difference and want to be part of an exciting new venture, we would love to hear from you!

About the role
  • Oversee all aspects of the housekeeping and laundry operations
  • Manage and train the housekeeping team to maintain high standards at all times
  • Create and implement cleaning schedules and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Monitor inventory and order cleaning supplies as and when required
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are met and address any concerns promptly
  • Clean all public areas, corridors and lounges regularly
  • Clean residents' rooms whilst maintaining their right to privacy
  • Keep equipment maintained and stored properly
  • Carry out general household duties that promote the welfare of our residents
  • Ensure that residents are helped to retain their dignity and individuality
  • Complete audits in COSHH, laundry and infection control
About you
  • The right to live and work in the UK
  • Proven experience in housekeeping management, ideally within a care home or hospitality setting
  • Excellent leadership and organisational skills
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and infection control procedures
  • Strong attention to detail with a caring nature, positive attitude and the ability to work in a team
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Willing to work flexibly, including weekends and bank holidays
