Thursley, Surrey (Hybrid) - travel to the office required
Β£70,000 - Β£75,000 p.a.
- Deliver client and internal projects to agreed scope, cost, quality and timescale, owning plans, budgets, margin, risks, dependencies and change.
- Lead cross-functional project teams and partners, setting clear priorities, maintaining pace and enabling timely decisions.
- Line manage a cross-functional team spanning data science, software and instrumentation/hardware, including objectives, one-to-ones, coaching, performance, development, wellbeing and recruitment support.
- Translate advanced digital, data, software and engineering capability into practical solutions and measurable client outcomes.
- Apply proportionate project governance; lead client and internal reviews, reporting, issue resolution and escalation.
- Plan and balance resources, and develop robust scopes, proposals, estimates and delivery plans so projects are set up to succeed.
- Identify opportunities to develop repeatable products and deepen client relationships, converting them into well-defined follow-on work.
- Embed continuous improvement and ensure the team works in a sustainable, inclusive, healthy and safe environment.
General Requirements
- Technical degree, preferably in engineering, data science or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven delivery leadership on complex, client-facing projects involving digital, data, software and/or industrial technology.
- Experience in line managing and developing people within a multidisciplinary technical team desirable.
- Strong technical judgement and the ability to connect specialist disciplines into a coherent solution.
- Sound project, commercial and financial management skills, including forecasting, estimation and commercial negotiation.
- Clear, purposeful communication and the ability to make timely decisions, manage complexity and maintain ownership through ambiguity and change.
- Collaborative and inclusive leadership that engages people, values different perspectives and builds effective partnerships.
- Experience of Smart Factory projects, industrial sensing, analytics or related technologies would be desirable.
- A passion for motorsport beneficial, with willingness to travel within the UK and overseas required; requirements vary by project and may occasionally arise at short notice.
- The ability to travel to our head office in Thursley, Surrey (within 1 hours drive of the office).
