Who You Are

The Account Director will have in‑depth PR experience in Luxury Travel and Lifestyle brands, either agency or client‑side.

The role requires strong communication and networking skills, the ability to build relationships and provide strategic client counsel.

You will be encouraged to showcase your entrepreneurial drive and express ideas through excellent verbal, visual and written communication to both your team and your clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee an existing list of accounts, partnering with clients to understand key objectives and success metrics.
  • Conduct new business meetings, identify and engage new client prospects, prepare and present proposals.
  • Leverage exceptional presentation and pitching skills to create compelling storylines and decks.
  • Apply brand positioning expertise to design complex corporate communications programs, representing PURPLE’s unique perspective.
  • Identify and follow media landscape trends; lead the firm to respond effectively to a changing media environment.
  • Leverage media relationships, peers and colleagues to serve clients and bring multi‑client opportunities to the table.
  • Develop and present original recommendations based on media experience and strategic, creative thinking.
  • Support account teams in managing campaign and content budgets to ensure performance and delivery.
  • Advise clients on channel strategy across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, You Tube and Linked In, using deep social‑media expertise.
  • Utilise social analytics and listening tools to inform strategy and deliver actionable insights.
  • Build influencer target lists and run effective influencer marketing and content campaigns with clear KPIs and deliverables.
  • Take responsibility for accurate end‑of‑month and post‑campaign analysis reporting to clients.
  • Manage content for agency website and lead strategy and execution for all agency social media channels.

Qualifications & Candidate Description

  • Bachelor's degree in public relations, communication, journalism, marketing, or equivalent experience.
  • 6–8 years of experience in luxury public relations.
  • Proven track record of success with previous Travel/Lifestyle and Culture and Tech clients.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing successful digital and social media marketing campaigns.
  • Strong understanding of how all current digital marketing channels function.
  • Solid knowledge of online marketing tools and best practice.
  • Multitasker who thrives in a fast‑paced agency environment and delivers high‑standard work by deadlines.
  • Excellent analytical and project management skills.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation and communication skills.
  • Strong team‑management and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Confident, driven and dynamic leader.
