Purple, Rock, Scissors has an exciting contract opportunity for a senior level native Hindi writer to support a large tech client. The right candidates must be a native Hindi speaker and demonstrate excellent writing skills in Hindi. Proficiency in English and other Indian languages will be a plus. This role will be responsible for developing content for language modeling efforts in Hindi and identifying content quality gaps in the product experience.
We are looking for a professional who has a firm grasp and understanding of user‑experience writing, a deep understanding of both colloquial and academic Hindi, and a thoughtful approach to delivering a coherent, clear, and conversational voice and tone. Professional experience in advertising, journalism or other disciplines involving the creation or curation of user‑facing content is preferred.

Remote Contract Opportunity: Initial contract for 3 months with a possibility of extension. 40 hours per week, limited to 1,800 annually. Remote work. UK-Based. Must work 7am - 4pm GMT (requires some overlap with IST).
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering to deliver Hindi content strategy and writing work.
- Projects may include audits using predefined content guidelines and assessment rubrics, and identifying content solutions that increase overall product value.
- Write quality Hindi content effectively at an efficient velocity following content design frameworks for user experiences, including principles, patterns, and systems.
- Tailor deliverables based on product or platform requirements.
- Edit and deliver queries and responses to help train a large language model following the voice and tone guidelines for this program in collaboration with other writers.
Writing Requirements:
- Write short, concise yet comprehensive overviews that flow in a logical order, and edit existing content for brevity, simplicity, or improved structure.
- Limit writing to only present information that’s contained within cited source documents.
- Summarize and synthesize information from multiple sources.
- Adjust writing tone from formal to casual to lighthearted, while maintaining a consistent conversational and straightforward voice.
- Be familiar with Indian colloquialisms and cultural nuances, and have the ability to adapt writing for users with different levels of language proficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Journalism, Communication, Literature, Advertising, Marketing, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience in writing, editorial, content marketing, UX writing, or related field with experience executing content strategy.
- Experience delivering work with quick turnaround times.
- Experience working in a cross‑functional technology organization with collaborators such as project managers, engineers, and program managers.
- Experience training technical language models is a plus.
- Experience working with Google Worksuite (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Chat).
