We are seeking a dedicated and technically skilled Field Engineer specialising in EPOS, ATM and Parcel Lockers to join our team. This role involves on-site installation, maintenance, and repair of automated banking and parcel locker systems across various locations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring optimal operation, troubleshooting technical issues, and supporting the deployment of new equipment. A strong foundation in mechanical and electronic systems, along with excellent problem-solving skills, is essential to succeed in this position.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and commission ATM and parcel locker units at designated sites.
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections to ensure equipment functions correctly.
- Diagnose and repair hardware faults using hand tools, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Perform computer hardware repairs, including software updates and system troubleshooting.
- Manage network connectivity issues related to equipment, ensuring seamless communication with central systems.
- Utilise schematics and technical documentation to identify faults and execute repairs efficiently.
- Document all service activities accurately in company systems and reports.
- Liaise with clients and team members to coordinate installation schedules and provide technical support.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations during all operational activities.
Experience
- Proven experience working with mechanical systems, computer hardware, or electronic equipment repair.
- Familiarity with computer networking principles relevant to automated systems.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, schematics reading, and basic maintenance procedures.
- Knowledge of computer repair processes, including software updates and troubleshooting.
- Previous exposure to equipment repair within a technical or engineering environment is desirable.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently in diverse locations.
- Valid driving licence is preferred due to travel requirements between sites.
