We are currently recruiting a SEND Teaching Assistant to work in schools across Plymouth, supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Roles are available on a supply and long-term basis, with opportunities for both full-time and part-time work. This is a rewarding role for someone who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and making a real difference in the classroom.

The Role:

  • Supporting pupils with SEND on a 1:1 or small-group basis
  • Assisting pupils with needs such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties
  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO
  • Helping to manage behaviour and support emotional regulation
  • Creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with SEND (school-based or transferable experience)
  • A patient, caring, and resilient approach
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Availability to work in the Plymouth area
