Multi-Skilled Engineer

Due to our continued growth and success, our client based on the Wrexham Industrial Estate has multiple opportunities for multi-skilled shift engineers available.

Responsibilities

As a Shift Engineer, you will contribute to our success through your core tasks, including but not limited to:

• Ensuring a safe environment for employees and visitors at our manufacturing facilities.
• Delivering proactive, planned preventative maintenance to meet capacity and efficiency targets.
• Providing reactive maintenance to minimize machine downtime.
• Implementing engineering changes and continuous improvement projects to maximize efficiency and energy use.
• Supporting the introduction of new equipment to our production facilities.
• Building relationships and communicating effectively with stakeholders.
• Pursuing continuous professional development through industry-specific training.
• Ensuring audit readiness in collaboration with the technical team.
• Working alongside the projects engineering team.

Skills, Qualifications, and Attributes

Essential

• Experience in a similar engineering role.
• Qualified electrically or mechanically (or time-served) with multi-skilled capabilities.
• Proven success-oriented mindset.
• Enthusiasm for learning new machinery and engaging with manufacturers.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.

Desirable

• Experience in a food manufacturing environment.

In return, you can expect a competitive salary of just under £50,000 per annum, plus benefits including pension contributions (minimum 10%), Death in Service (4x salary), 21 shifts holiday entitlement, Aviva Private Healthcare, and more. Shifts include days and nights.
