Production Technician - Food Manufacturing
Position: Early/Late shifts between the hours of 7am – 7pm. 45 hours per week.
Gourmet Classic produce and sell cooking wine and other unique ingredients for chefs through regional and national food wholesalers.
Our sales team focus on developing new business into wholesalers and are supported by customer services who then manage the account, maintaining the flow of repeat business into the wholesaler as well as introducing new product lines for distribution.
We are looking for new people to join our growing manufacturing team.
Main Purpose of the Role and Key Responsibilities
To be an effective and proactive member of the production team ensuring compliance to all Company and legislative requirements, particularly ensuring 100% customer service by carrying out all of the duties assigned to them in the prescribed manner and in-line with the required behaviours.
- Technically minded and able to fault find and resolve.
- Ability to record data accurately.
- Creative and able to use their own initiative.
- Able to understand and interpret production schedules
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
- Flexible shift working as required
- Occasional evening and weekend work may be required at peak times.
- Operators will be required to undertake all Production tasks from food preparation and blending through to packaging and presentation of finished goods to the Warehouse.
- Good understanding of food safety regulations.
- Cleaning of machinery used and area worked in to company standards.
- Maintaining an ‘audit ready’ department and mindset.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Reliable, self-disciplined and a team player.
- To undertake any duty requested pertaining to the successful operation of the Business that it is reasonable to expect within the abilities, training and skills of the individual.
- To undertake any training required by the Business in order that the Business goals and values are continually met.
- To strive to meet and exceed where possible, all department KPIs and those of the wider Business.
