Are you an experienced Accounts Assistant looking for a part-time role where you can put your sales ledger and credit control skills to use? Accuro Environmental Ltd is looking for an organised, conscientious Accounts Assistant to work closely with our Accounts Manager. Your main focus will be sales invoicing, customer accounts and credit control, helping us maintain accurate records, resolve queries and collect payments on time.
What you will be doing:
- Preparing sales invoices and uploading them to customer portals.
- Working with colleagues to ensure completed jobs are invoiced promptly.
- Sending statements, following up outstanding payments and resolving customer account queries.
- Maintaining financial records in Xero and completing month-end accounts receivable reconciliations.
- Supporting other accounts activities and providing cover during the Accounts Manager’s annual leave.
What you will bring:
- You will have practical experience of sales invoicing, accounts receivable and credit control, alongside good Excel skills and confidence using accounts software.
- Xero experience would be an advantage, but we will also consider applicants experienced with other accounts software who are willing to learn Xero.
- You will be accurate, reliable and comfortable communicating with customers and colleagues.
- You will also be able to organise your workload and meet invoicing and month-end deadlines.
- Purchase ledger, banking, expenses or Pleo experience would be useful.
- You do not need experience in every area, but willingness to learn and provide cover across the accounts function is essential.
Working arrangements:
- The role is for two days per week, working 9am–5.30pm with a one-hour unpaid lunch break. Working days will be agreed with the successful candidate.
- We may consider three days per week for a strong applicant. The corresponding annual salary would be £16,875–£19,687.50 for 22.5 paid hours.
- You will initially work from our Buckingham Palace Road office, anticipated to cover the three-month probation period. Once you are confident with the role, half a day or one day of homeworking per week may be considered, subject to agreement and business needs.
