The Role

We are looking for an organised and detail-focused

Sustainability & Packaging Compliance Coordinator to join our team in Ferndown.

This is a varied coordination role where you will be responsible for maintaining accurate information relating to packaging materials, recycling and environmental requirements across our product range.

Working with colleagues across Compliance, Product, Design and Commercial teams, you will gather information from suppliers, maintain records and help ensure that packaging information is accurate and meets relevant customer and market requirements.

You do not need to be an expert in sustainability or packaging compliance to apply.

Previous experience in these areas would be useful, but we are equally interested in candidates with strong administration, coordination or data management experience who are interested in developing their knowledge.

What You’ll Be Doing

Your responsibilities will include

  • Maintaining accurate packaging and environmental information within company systems and databases.
  • Gathering product and packaging information from suppliers and internal teams.
  • Checking data for accuracy and following up where information is incomplete.
  • Reviewing information relating to packaging materials, composition, recycling and recyclability.
  • Coordinating recycling and environmental information required for product packaging and artwork.
  • Checking product samples and associated packaging information.
  • Maintaining records of customer and market requirements.
  • Monitoring relevant changes to packaging and environmental requirements and sharing updates with colleagues.
  • Supporting improvements to internal records, processes and data quality.
  • Working with Product, Design, Compliance and Commercial colleagues during product development.
  • What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who has

  • Strong administration and organisational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Confidence working with data and maintaining accurate records.
  • Good Microsoft Excel and Outlook skills.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to manage different tasks, priorities and deadlines.
  • A proactive approach to obtaining information and following up with others.
  • An interest in sustainability, environmental requirements or responsible packaging.

Experience within sustainability, packaging, compliance, supply chain, product administration or a similar environment would be an advantage, but is not essential .

Knowledge of packaging or recycling schemes such as OPRL, ARL, WEEE, Cyclos or CITEO would also be useful, but training and development can be provided.
