About the role

Metropolitan Police Friendly Society Limited is looking for an experienced Field Officer to join our busy and growing team. This is a home-based role that involves travelling to police force venues, events, and meetings across the UK.

The main purpose of the role is to grow membership and generate new business by building strong relationships within UK police forces and related organisations. You’ll promote Metfriendly products and services through face-to-face engagement, events, presentations, and collaboration with internal teams.

Success in this role will be measured through lead generation, engagement, and achieving new business targets.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll act as a key ambassador for Metfriendly, building trusted relationships with stakeholders across UK police forces and associated organisations. This includes working with decision-makers, staff associations, and representatives to promote our products and secure opportunities to present to members.

A large part of your role will involve generating leads for force presentations and events, helping to increase our presence and visibility within regional forces. You’ll develop a strong understanding of Metfriendly’s products and services so you can confidently explain their value to members.

You’ll work closely with the Marketing Team to plan and deliver promotional activity, support marketing campaigns, and help raise brand awareness. This will include helping to organise events, coordinating diaries and travel, and supporting the wider Field Team calendar.

You’ll also research new business opportunities, such as new markets, partnerships, trends, and ways of reaching both new and existing members.

Accurate record-keeping is important, so you’ll be responsible for maintaining the CRM system and ensuring all calls and activity are logged correctly.

Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who is confident, approachable, and comfortable working independently while also collaborating with a wider team. You’ll be a strong communicator and influencer, able to build rapport quickly and listen carefully to member needs.

You’ll be organised, flexible, and motivated by results, with a genuine drive to deliver excellent service and grow the Society’s membership.

  • Able to analyse activity and report on results
  • Flexible and adaptable to travel and changing priorities
