We’re looking for a creative and motivated Junior Video Editor with a passion for social-first content to join our growing marketing team. In this role, you’ll support the editing and creation of engaging video content for both Purple Goat’s internal brand marketing—helping shape how we show up across social platforms—and for client campaigns and social first content.

This is an exciting opportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of content styles—from internal brand storytelling and thought leadership to campaign highlights and social media clips. The ideal candidate lives and breathes social, has a great eye for editing trends, and understands what makes content perform on platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.

Key Responsibilities:

Core Editing Responsibilities

  • Edit Social-First Long-Form Content
  • YouTube Agency Vlogs
  • Podcast Episodes
  • Case Study Videos
  • Edit Short-Form Content
  • Trim, cut, and arrange clips for Reels, TikToks, and YouTube Shorts.
  • Add engaging captions, sound effects, and trending music.
  • Adding Motion Graphics, Text, Overlays & Transitions
  • Insert lower-thirds, transitions, animations and motion graphics.
  • Ensure branding is consistent (fonts, colours, logos).
  • Re-Versioning for Multiple Platforms
  • Reformat content for different aspect ratios based on the platform
  • Tailor each edit to platform-specific best practices.
  • Assisting with Social Content Creation & Ideation
  • Be comfortable in front of the camera for social videos
  • Research trends and come up with content ideas
  • Support (when necessary) the Social Team in the scheduling and management of social media channels

Organisational Duties

  • Media Management
  • Help maintain an organised system for footage, audio, and project files.
  • Label and archive completed projects properly.
  • Work Collaboratively within the Agency
  • Take creative direction and feedback from the Marketing Manager and Social Content Lead and campaign delivery team.
  • Revise edits based on feedback from the team or clients.
  • Stay Up-to-Date on Social Trends
  • Monitor editing trends (transitions, text animations, pacing) on TikTok/IG.
  • Suggest fresh approaches that keep content relevant and engaging.

Software & Tools Use

  • Proficiency With Editing Software
  • Command of Adobe suite tools including Premiere Pro, Illustrator and After Effects

Required Skills & Experience

  • A strong understanding of influencer marketing and the broader social media landscape.
  • Solid knowledge of platform-specific best practices across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and other key channels.
  • Willingness to learn and contribute to a variety of tasks within a fast-paced marketing team.
  • Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Experience with After Effects for creating animations, motion graphics, or branded visuals is a plus.
