About the Direct Payment Holder
To provide social support for a 28-year-old woman with Learning Disabilities by accompanying her to social and leisure activities. The role aims to develop her confidence and social skills in a fun and supportive way. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys social activities and wants to make a positive impact on someone’s life by helping them gain confidence and independence.
Hours and rate of pay
- £12.71 per hour
- 10 hours per week – Flexible – days, evenings and weekends (to be discussed at interview)

Confirmation of DBS check, Right to Work and references will be needed.
What you would be doing…
Key responsibilities include:
- Accompany her on outings such as theatre, cinema and live music events
- Restaurants and cafes
- Shopping trips
- Gym and other fitness activities
- Encourage and support social interactions in various settings
- Provide gentle guidance and reassurance to help build independence
- Ensure her safety and well-being during outings
- Be a friendly and supportive companion
Required skills and experience
- Friendly, patient and understanding personality
- Experience or interest in working with individuals with learning disabilities (preferred but not essential)
- Reliable and able to work flexible hours (evenings and weekends)
- Good communication skills
- Ability to encourage and support social development
- A driver with access to a car - Essential
