Hours and Rate of Pay:
- 8 hours per week, days and times flexible (daytime or evening)
- £15.00 per hour, possible increase following successful probation period for the right person
- Enhanced DBS clearance is essential
What you would be doing:
- Travel & route training so he can access the local community with confidence
- Supporting H to identify activities of interest and access them together
- Building confidence when interacting with others
- Practicing money skills, such as paying for items in shops
- Exploring employment support
- Exploring voluntary opportunities
The person I would like:
- If you have experience of supporting others with Autism that would be great but is not essential, a willingness to learn about Autism and the challenges it can sometimes bring is really important.
- Life experience is important.
- Someone who is patient, kind and encouraging, who is happy to be interactive in order to develop skills while promoting H’s independence and enabling him to learn new skills.
