Direct Payment Holder for a 13 year old young person with a diagnosis of profound bilateral sensorineural hearing loss, acquired brain injury, global developmental delay, and a likely autism diagnosis.

Hours and rate of pay: £13.50 per hour, 76.5 hours to be used flexibly at either the weekend and/or school holiday time.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting with getting out in the community, life skills and days out.
  • Helping to boost confidence, broaden interests and support development of independence skills.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Knowledge/Experience of Acquired Brain Injury.
  • British Sign Language desirable but not essential.
  • Driving License and use of own car essential (Car insurance with business use mandatory requirement).
  • Reliable, good timekeeping, strong communication skills, bubbly personality, good sense of humour, kind and caring nature, with similar interests to the young person so that they can relate.
  • Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check required.
  • DBS/Checks confirmation required.
  • Right to Work and references needed.

Location: Whittlesford, CB22 area.
