About
We are looking for 2 Personal Assistants to support a 71‑year‑old Pakistani woman with chronic depression, low motivation and pain‑related health conditions. The role involves providing practical and emotional support to maintain independence, improve mood and enhance quality of life.
Hours & Rate of Pay
- Rate: Meets National Minimum Wage.
- Hours: 16 per week (8 hours per PA).
- Pattern: 5–6 days a week, primarily Monday‑Friday, with occasional weekend support. Specific days and hours can be negotiated to meet the client’s needs and the candidates’ availability.

Oldbury, B68
Key responsibilities
- Providing personal care support, including assistance with bathing.
- Preparing culturally appropriate meals such as curries and chapatis.
- Carrying out household tasks: ironing, changing bedding, general cleaning.
- Supporting the client to access community activities, including visits to local shops, supermarkets, or garden centres.
- Assisting with light gardening tasks (experience in gardening is beneficial).
- Promoting engagement, improving mood and enhancing overall wellbeing.
Ideal candidate
- Pakistani female with strong understanding of Pakistani culture, fluent in Urdu or Mirpuri/Pahari.
- Experience in care sector, particularly supporting individuals with low mood, depression or lack of motivation.
- Compassionate, patient and able to communicate effectively with the client.
- Valid DBS check.
- Full driving licence and access to a vehicle (required for outings).
Other requirements
- Support with culturally appropriate meal preparation.
- Maintain a clean and tidy home environment.
- Willingness to undertake basic gardening tasks.
