About the service user:
A 51-year-old man living independently in Cambridge is looking for a Polish speaking support worker. He has mental health challenges which are stable but he does experience low mood and lack of motivation. He enjoys gaming, music and sport.
Hours and rate of Pay:
2 hours per week @ £18.75 per hour.
Requirements:
- Enhanced DBS clearance is required.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting A to communicate with professionals who are involved with his care and support and his accommodation.
- Supporting him with correspondence, bills & booking appointments.
- Supporting A to access the community practising his English & with time going to the gym.
- Establishing contact with professionals involved in A’s care and support.
Qualifications and Personal Traits:
- Experience of supporting others is not essential.
- Someone who is a good communicator, open minded and non‑judgemental is important.
- Someone who enjoys conversation and has good spoken English.
