The predicted salary is between 14 - 16 £ per hour.
We are parents to our 35‑year‑old son, who has autism and learning difficulties. He enjoys outdoor activities and sports. The role is to support him in daily living, safeguarding and engaging activities at home and outside.
Responsibilities:
- Support with keeping him engaged at home with activities such as video games, language promotion and simple functional daily living activities.
- Accompany him to outside activities, including sports, bowling, cinema and the leisure centre.
- Assist with personal needs, ensuring he is dressed appropriately and helping him put on clothing.
- Ensure he is safe within the home environment and is not left unsupervised around appliances or objects that could cause harm.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Enthusiastic, active and flexible with a genuine interest in the provision of high quality care.
- Experience working with people with autism and learning disabilities.
- Hardworking, reliable, committed, honest, trustworthy with a cheerful sense of humour.
- Some flexibility in hours and motivation to develop trust and understanding within the role.
- Driving licence and access to own car desirable but not essential.
Hours & Pay:
- 20–25 hours per week, evenings & weekends; some flexibility needed.
- Rate of pay £14.00 per hour.
Requirements:
- DBS check confirmation.
- Right to work and references needed.
