Support Worker for a 26-year-old male with Cerebral Palsy and Autism (lower end of the spectrum). He uses a wheelchair but can transfer in and out of cars with assistance. He is sociable, loves music, and enjoys bars, restaurants, and visiting new places. The role is to support him to get out and about and socialise.

Details

  • Hours and pay: £12.21 per hour
  • 4 hours for either a Friday or Saturday night 6pm-10pm
  • Location: Armthorpe (DN3)
  • DBS/Checks: Confirmation of DBS check; Right to Work and references will be needed.

Responsibilities

  • Support me getting into the city centre for drinks and socialising.
  • Push me in my manual wheelchair when it’s not suitable to take my electric wheelchair.

Who I would like

  • PA who is punctual and reliable, owns their own car and has a driving licence.
  • Outgoing and willing to engage me in conversation as I like to ask a lot of questions.
  • Prefer PA of a similar age who should be physically able to help me in and out of my wheelchair and car.
