We're seeking a passionate and strategic Regional Growth Director to lead Purple's engagement across the North East of England. This pivotal role will focus on driving regional growth through partnerships with local government, healthcare, education, and transport organisations. The role will also have responsibility for developing new business opportunities across large venues in the region, including stadiums, exhibition spaces, and conference centres. You'll be instrumental in advancing Purple's mission to bridge the digital divide, drive data democratisation, and enhance social inclusion through the delivery of intelligent connectivity solutions. Reporting directly to the SVP Global Sales, you'll combine commercial acumen with a strong understanding of regional dynamics, helping to position Purple as a key partner for digital transformation and community connectivity initiatives.

What you will do:

  • Build and execute a comprehensive regional strategy to engage public sector and strategic partners across local government, healthcare, education, and transport hubs
  • Lead initiatives that help address societal challenges around digital inclusion, data accessibility, and regional economic development
  • Establish and nurture senior relationships with civic leaders, councils, and key public sector stakeholders to embed Purple's solutions within regional strategies
  • Drive new revenue generation opportunities through a consultative, partnership-led approach
  • Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities across large venues in the region, including stadiums, exhibition spaces, and conference centres
  • Represent Purple at regional forums, events, and steering groups, positioning Purple as a thought leader in digital connectivity
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Customer Success teams to align on regional priorities and success measures
  • Translate complex regional opportunities into clear commercial outcomes and scalable success stories
  • Champion the Connect+ vision, ensuring Purple's technology delivers measurable community impact and supports sustainable growth in the region

Requirements Who you are:

  • A senior commercial professional with 5+ years of experience in strategic account development, public sector sales, or partnership management
  • Confident operating at executive level within local government or large public sector organisations, able to influence and inspire senior stakeholders
  • Proven ability to develop complex multi-stakeholder relationships and deliver outcomes across diverse sectors
  • Demonstrated success in driving regional growth initiatives, ideally within technology, digital infrastructure, or SaaS
  • Exceptional communicator and network builder, able to navigate complex organisational structures with diplomacy and gravitas
  • Highly autonomous and self‑motivated, with strong ownership and accountability for results
  • Commercially driven and experienced in selling into large, complex organisations, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deliver strategic solutions that create measurable value
  • Ideally experienced within healthcare, local government, or education, though not essential
  • Passionate about using technology for good - driving digital inclusion, community engagement, and data‑led decision‑making
