You will play a central role in guiding a talented team, maintaining exceptional clinical standards, and helping shape the future of a busy and evolving dentistry department. Combining hands-on clinical work with leadership responsibilities, this position offers the chance to influence patient care, mentor colleagues and drive service development within a highly collaborative specialist environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead, mentor and support a team of four RVNs and one dedicated technician.
- Coordinate the daily workflow of the dentistry department.
- Maintain exceptional standards in anaesthesia, theatre nursing and patient care.
- Oversee the patient journey from admission through to discharge.
- Support team development through coaching, training and regular feedback.
- Represent the department at leadership meetings and contribute to hospital projects.
- Drive service improvements and support the continued growth of the dentistry department.
- Deliver outstanding clinical care as an active member of the nursing team.
- Full-time, 40 hours per week.
- Five 8-hour shifts per week.
- 1 in 8 weekend rota.
- Days off in the following week after weekend shifts.
The hospital manages a diverse caseload across cardiology, orthopaedics, soft tissue surgery, medicine, neurology, ophthalmology, diagnostic imaging, emergency and critical care, and dentistry.
