The Opportunity:
A fully independent practice with a well-established reputation for outstanding first-opinion care for small animals is looking for an enthusiastic RVN. We’re looking for an experienced, self-motivated Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join our friendly team. If you enjoy working with small animals, take pride in delivering an excellent patient and client experience, and are looking for a role where you can develop your skills, we’d love to hear from you.
What We’re Looking For:
- Passionate about providing excellent patient and client care.
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic and confident working as part of a team.
- Experienced in a similar veterinary nursing role.
- Registered with the RCVS.
- Able to work across both our Marston and Botley clinics.
- Able to participate in our weekend rota.
- A full UK driving licence holder with access to your own vehicle.
- Already living within an easily commutable distance of the clinics, or willing to relocate.
No additional RVN qualifications are required, although previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous.
Career Development
We want our RVNs to continue developing their skills and knowledge. You’ll receive:
- £750 CPD allowance each year.
- 3 days of paid CPD leave.
- Support to develop your clinical skills and interests.
- Opportunities to gain experience across both general small-animal practice and our referral-level feline service.
The Rota
We aim to provide a good work-life balance, with no emergency out-of-hours work. The rota includes:
- 1 weekend in 5, with time off in lieu the following week (Sat 8am -2.30pm Sun 8am-12.30pm)
- One weekday late inpatient check per week on a rota basis.
- Bonus payments are made for any inpatient checks carried out.
- We do not work bank holidays.
Benefits:
- 5 weeks' annual leave, plus 8 bank holidays.
- £750 annual CPD allowance.
- 3 days paid CPD leave.
- RCVS and VDS fees paid.
- No emergency OOH.
- Sponsorship available for the right candidate with an RCVS-registrable qualification.
- The opportunity to work within two independent, established veterinary practices.
