The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join a highly respected independent veterinary group in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. Established for over 100 years, this well-established mixed practice operates across eight branches and is supported by an experienced team of veterinary surgeons, nurses and support staff dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care.

This role is ideal for a compassionate and motivated RVN who enjoys working as part of a supportive team while also being confident working independently. The successful candidate will benefit from a varied caseload across first opinion practice and a fully equipped 24-hour hospital, with opportunities to mentor student nurses as part of the group's recognised training practice.

The position is 35 hours per week, typically worked over four long days with a fixed day off. Nurses are primarily based at one branch but may occasionally work across other sites to support the rota. Weekend, bank holiday and out-of-hours shifts are shared fairly across the team, with enhanced pay for weekend and bank holiday work and generous time off in lieu for night duties.

The practice actively supports both internal and external CPD, making this an excellent opportunity for an RVN looking to develop their skills within a friendly, progressive and independent veterinary environment.
