An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a highly respected, multi-site mixed practice based in Huddersfield, serving both Huddersfield and South Halifax. With a team of 36 vets across seven surgeries, this is a thriving and forward thinking practice offering outstanding clinical support, flexibility, and career development.
At the heart of the practice is a state-of-the-art hospital, purpose built to deliver exceptional first opinion care with referral level facilities. Designed with the comfort of patients, clients, and team members in mind, the hospital boasts separate wards for cats, dogs, and exotics, a dedicated ICU, five theatres, and a fully equipped dental suite with dual tables and dental radiography.
Advanced imaging capabilities include a CT scanner, digital X-ray, and high-quality ultrasound with both linear and cardiac probes, alongside specialist scopes for arthroscopy, endoscopy, and rhinoscopy. With regular access to a visiting MRI scanner and the equipment to perform advanced procedures such as laparoscopy, fracture repairs, TPLOs, MMPs, and spinal surgery, this is a truly exceptional clinical environment.
This role offers fantastic flexibility, allowing Veterinary Surgeons to tailor their work to suit their interests. Whether you’re drawn to a GP focused role within one of the branch practices, or prefer a mix of branch and hospital work, there is scope to shape your position. Vets with a few years of experience are particularly encouraged to apply, especially those looking to further develop their skills in surgery, medicine, or diagnostic imaging such as ultrasound.

The Rota:
- 4 day week
- 1 late shift every 2-3 weeks
- 1:6 Saturdays
