The Role:
An established independent 24/7 veterinary clinic in North London is looking for an experienced Night Veterinary Surgeon to join its dedicated out-of-hours team. Working a 7 nights on / 14 nights off rota, you will manage emergency consultations, stabilise medical and surgical emergencies, provide overnight care for inpatients and make confident clinical decisions when it matters most. You will work closely with experienced RVNs and the daytime clinical team, ensuring excellent handovers and continuity of care. The clinic offers a broad caseload across emergency, first-opinion and referral work, supported by advanced diagnostics including CT, ultrasound and X-ray, surgical facilities and dedicated intensive-care areas.
About You:
We are looking for a vet who is:
- MRCVS registered and confident with emergency and out-of-hours work.
- Comfortable making sole‑charge clinical decisions overnight.
- Calm, practical and compassionate under pressure.
- Experienced in inpatient care and emergency case management.
- A strong communicator and team player.
Experience in ECC, emergency practice, hospital work or sole‑charge night work would be highly desirable, although confident vets with strong clinical foundations are encouraged to apply.
