Experienced Veterinary Surgeon – RCVS Accredited Small Animal Practice, Merseyside. This RCVS accredited clinic offers state-of-the-art facilities including in-house lab, X-ray, ultrasound, laser surgery, and advanced dentistry. The practice provides a supportive, family-focused environment with opportunities for clinical leadership and autonomy.
The Veterinary Surgeon will be accountable for the highest standards of patient care within the clinic, ensuring regulatory compliance while fostering a culture of compassion and professionalism.
Key responsibilities include:
- Client Care
- Deliver exceptional service to clients every day
- Address client concerns and complaints promptly and professionally
- Provide regular updates on patient care, including out-of-hours or enhanced care cases
- Patient Care
- Perform consultations, procedures, admissions and discharges
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Oversee clinical handovers and arrange OOH or enhanced care transfers
- Prescribe medications and conduct dispensing checks
- Commercial Performance
- Prepare accurate treatment estimates and ensure timely payment
- Minimise debt and support action plans to resolve client issues
- Optimise clinic capacity through effective use of clinical skills
- Clinical Administration
- Ensure laboratory tests are carried out correctly
- Escalate issues to the Practice Manager when required
