An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a growing and well-established small animal veterinary practice in North West London on a part-time basis.
The Role
- This is a part-time Registered Veterinary Nurse position, working:
- 2 days per week – Mondays and Tuesdays
- 8-hour shifts
- 1:3 Saturday rota shared between this practice and a nearby sister practice
- 1:10 Sunday rota working alongside the Small Animal Hospital team
- 1 bank holiday per year
- There are no on-call or out-of-hours requirements, supporting a strong work-life balance.
- This position would suit both an experienced RVN and a newly qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse, thanks to the exceptional support available within the practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a high standard of veterinary nursing care and contribute to continual clinical improvement
- Assist veterinary surgeons in theatre and during consultations as required
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient hospitalisation records
- Ensure excellent standards of patient welfare and comfort
- Prepare, clean, sterilise, and store clinical equipment correctly
- Monitor and maintain stock levels of drugs, consumables, and prescription diets
- Support the induction and training of new team members
- Provide occasional reception support, delivering excellent client care in person, via email, and over the telephone
- Support student veterinary nurses and veterinary care assistants as a clinical supervisor
- Promote a collaborative, respectful, and supportive team culture

- Large, separate prep room

Salary & Benefits
- The salary band for this role is £32,000–£35,000 FTE (full-time equivalent), based on a 40-hour working week and pro rata for part-time hours, dependent on experience and with clear progression opportunities.
