An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a growing and well-established small animal veterinary practice in North West London on a part-time basis.

The Role

  • This is a part-time Registered Veterinary Nurse position, working:
    • 2 days per week – Mondays and Tuesdays
    • 8-hour shifts
    • 1:3 Saturday rota shared between this practice and a nearby sister practice
    • 1:10 Sunday rota working alongside the Small Animal Hospital team
    • 1 bank holiday per year
  • There are no on-call or out-of-hours requirements, supporting a strong work-life balance.
  • This position would suit both an experienced RVN and a newly qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse, thanks to the exceptional support available within the practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver a high standard of veterinary nursing care and contribute to continual clinical improvement
  • Assist veterinary surgeons in theatre and during consultations as required
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient hospitalisation records
  • Ensure excellent standards of patient welfare and comfort
  • Prepare, clean, sterilise, and store clinical equipment correctly
  • Monitor and maintain stock levels of drugs, consumables, and prescription diets
  • Support the induction and training of new team members
  • Provide occasional reception support, delivering excellent client care in person, via email, and over the telephone
  • Support student veterinary nurses and veterinary care assistants as a clinical supervisor
  • Promote a collaborative, respectful, and supportive team culture

    • 2 consultation rooms

Salary & Benefits

  • The salary band for this role is £32,000–£35,000 FTE (full-time equivalent), based on a 40-hour working week and pro rata for part-time hours, dependent on experience and with clear progression opportunities.
