Experienced Night Veterinary Surgeon – Emergency & Out of Hours

A high-standard, dedicated 24-hour emergency and out-of-hours veterinary service is currently seeking a confident, experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join its established hospital night team. The Practice
This emergency veterinary service supports local practices across Greater Manchester, Stockport and Cheshire, delivering high-quality OOH and emergency care to registered clients. The service is staffed by an experienced team of Veterinary Surgeons and Veterinary Nurses, working collaboratively to provide gold-standard treatment around the clock.
The Role – Night Veterinary Surgeon (OOH / Emergency)
This is a sole-charge night role, therefore prior experience in emergency or OOH work is essential. The successful candidate will be part of a 24-hour hospital night team, managing inpatients and seeing A&E cases overnight, with full nursing support throughout each shift.
- Typical rota: 5 nights every 3 weeks

The successful Veterinary Surgeon will have access to an exceptional range of advanced diagnostics and equipment, including:
- CT scanner
- Doppler echocardiography
- Flexible and rigid endoscopy
- Digital radiography suites
- Ultrasound scanners
- Dental radiography
- Electrocautery and laparoscopy
- Advanced anaesthesia equipment
Full support is available from the wider group, providing shared expertise and clinical collaboration.
