An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and confident Veterinary Surgeon to join a thriving 24-hour veterinary hospital in Cheshire as part of the dedicated night team. This well-established small animal hospital is committed to delivering outstanding patient care, providing an exceptional client experience, and creating a supportive and rewarding workplace for its colleagues. The successful candidate will be joining a friendly, collaborative team that values clinical excellence, compassion, and professional development.
The Role
This position is ideal for a Veterinary Surgeon with previous ECC or hospital experience who is comfortable working in a sole charge capacity overnight. The Night Veterinary Surgeon will play a key role in caring for hospitalised inpatients and managing out-of-hours emergency and critical care cases, supported throughout each shift by a skilled and experienced nursing team. The rota offers an excellent work-life balance, typically consisting of:
- 7 nights on
- 14 nights off
This provides plenty of time to enjoy personal pursuits while maintaining exposure to a varied and rewarding caseload. The hospital is fully equipped to deliver gold-standard veterinary care and offers excellent opportunities for ongoing clinical progression and development. Facilities include:

- Doppler echocardiography
- Flexible and rigid endoscopy
