The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a busy, progressive, independent veterinary hospital in Downham Market, Norfolk.

Working as part of a collaborative team of almost 60 veterinary professionals, you'll enjoy a varied and rewarding role involving theatre, inpatient care, emergency nursing, nurse consultations and patient care across both hospital and first-opinion practice settings.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an RVN who enjoys a fast-paced hospital environment and wants to continue developing your clinical skills within a supportive team that genuinely invests in its people. The practice places patient care, client experience and team wellbeing at the heart of everything it does, creating an environment where nurses are encouraged to learn, grow and take the next step in their careers.

The successful candidate will work across two nearby sites, located approximately 25 minutes apart, providing excellent clinical exposure and a varied caseload.

The Rota

Designed with work-life balance in mind, the rota includes:

  • Full-time position
  • New 4-day working week from September (initially introduced on a trial basis)
  • Just 1 in 5 weekends, with additional time off before and after working weekends
  • Approximately 1 in 10-night shifts, attracting an additional £2,000 annual night allowance
  • Rolling weekday off, providing regular extended breaks throughout the rota
  • A supportive team that works together to ensure an enjoyable and sustainable working pattern
