An exciting opportunity has become available for a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join a thriving, independent small animal veterinary practice in Cardiff. This forward‑thinking veterinary practice is seeking an enthusiastic, compassionate, and proactive veterinary nurse to become part of a friendly and supportive clinical team. The successful candidate will work alongside experienced veterinary surgeons, a supportive Head Nurse, and a dedicated support team in a welcoming environment. Importantly, this role offers an excellent work‑life balance with no out‑of‑hours (OOH) or on‑call requirements.

The Role

  • Delivering high‑quality nursing care from patient admission through to discharge
  • Assisting veterinary surgeons with surgical procedures, diagnostics, and treatments
  • Monitoring inpatients and ensuring gold‑standard patient care
  • Maintaining accurate clinical records and clear client communication
  • Supporting stock control, clinical organisation, and maintaining practice standards
  • Working collaboratively with the wider veterinary team to provide outstanding animal care

Candidate Requirements

  • A qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse (RCVS registered)
  • Confident in all core veterinary nursing duties
  • A strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Salary & Benefits

  • £28,000 – £33,000 salary dependent on experience (DOE)
