An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced Lead Veterinary Surgeon to take the next step into veterinary practice ownership through a well-supported Branch Partnership model. This role offers the chance to lead two established small animal veterinary practices in North London, combining clinical leadership with the rewards of business ownership—without the challenges of going it alone.

Backed by an experienced support network, the successful candidate will enjoy genuine autonomy while receiving comprehensive operational, financial and clinical support every step of the way. The practices are well‑equipped with modern facilities including digital x‑ray, ultrasound, an in‑house laboratory and all the equipment expected in a busy first‑opinion practice.

This opportunity is ideally suited to an ambitious Veterinary Surgeon with previous leadership experience who is passionate about delivering outstanding patient care, mentoring colleagues and driving clinical excellence. As the Branch Partner and Clinical Lead, the successful candidate will inspire and develop the veterinary team while helping to shape the future growth and success of the practices.

The wider partnership model also provides access to experienced partners with complementary expertise, allowing each partner to focus on their strengths while benefiting from shared knowledge and collaboration.

The Opportunity

This role combines the satisfaction of leading a successful veterinary practice with the long‑term financial rewards of ownership. Partners retain clinical freedom while benefiting from extensive business support, allowing them to focus on patient care, team development and practice growth rather than day‑to‑day administration.

Partnership Benefits
  • Monthly profit share alongside a guaranteed exit payment when leaving the partnership.
  • A structured and transparent exit strategy with increasing practice valuations over time.
  • Projected drawings increasing from approximately £110,000 in Year 2 to around £178,000 by Year 10.
  • The opportunity to build significant equity, with projected practice values exceeding £1.2 million over time.
  • Flexible finance options, including deferred payment schemes and competitive lending support.
Comprehensive Business Support

Partners receive ongoing support from dedicated teams covering: Finance, HR, marketing, procurement and facilities management. Regional Operations leadership. An experienced network of veterinary professionals and clinical specialists. Guaranteed minimum drawings equivalent to £75,000 during the early stages should practice profits be lower than anticipated. Ongoing business coaching and partnership development.

Candidate Requirements

The successful applicant will have:

  • RCVS registration as a Veterinary Surgeon.
  • Previous experience leading or mentoring a veterinary team.
  • Excellent clinical, communication and leadership skills.
  • A commitment to delivering exceptional patient and client care.
  • The ambition to develop both a successful veterinary practice and a high‑performing team.
Why Apply?

This is a rare opportunity for an experienced Lead Veterinary Surgeon to enjoy the benefits of veterinary practice ownership while avoiding the risks and isolation often associated with running a business independently. With comprehensive support, financial security, genuine clinical autonomy and a clearly defined long‑term exit strategy, this Branch Partnership offers the ideal pathway for ambitious Veterinary Surgeons looking to build a rewarding career while creating lasting value in a thriving North London practice.
