An exciting opportunity for a confident and enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon to join a long-established and friendly small animal practice in Stevenage. The successful candidate will have at least one year of post-qualification experience and a passion for developing all-round GP skills. Working alongside a supportive Lead Vet with over 20 years of experience, the new team member will collaborate with four dedicated vets (2–3 on duty each day), an excellent team of RVNs, and welcoming reception staff. The practice is fully equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including an endoscope, in-house laboratory, ultrasound, X-ray, and more. Out-of-hours care is provided by the RVC, ensuring continuity of patient care and a sustainable work–life balance. A full refurbishment is also scheduled for late 2025, further enhancing the clinic’s modern environment.

Role & Hours
- 4 days per week, 9 am–7 pm
- Participation in either a 1-in-6 full weekend at the sister hospital or a 1-in-3 Saturday rota
- Occasional support at up to three nearby branches, depending on business needs
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional clinical care during consultations and procedures
- Provide clear, compassionate communication and updates to clients
- Uphold the highest standards of clinical, regulatory, and operational compliance
- Collaborate with the Practice Manager to support commercial performance
- Mentor and develop colleagues, fostering a positive team environment
- Ensure effective clinical handovers and arrange transfers for patients requiring out-of-hours or advanced care
