An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-established and forward thinking practice in Exeter, where clinical excellence, investment in people, and outstanding patient care truly come together. The practice prides itself on its continued commitment to developing its facilities, equipment, and staff training ensuring that every patient receives the very best care and every team member has the tools and support to thrive.
The practice is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including a full X-ray suite, colour Doppler ultrasound, multi-parameter monitoring, a biochemistry analyser, and a brand new imaging system worth up to £20,000. Additional facilities include a modern operating theatre, dedicated dental suite with dental X‑ray, oxygen generators, and in‑house laboratory equipment. Alongside this, nurse‑led clinics, puppy classes, and home visits ensure the team can deliver comprehensive, community‑based care to every client and their pets.
You’ll be joining a highly experienced and close‑knit veterinary team, consisting of five Vets, including an owner who is a seasoned clinician, a medical certificate holder, and others each with over six years’ experience. This wealth of expertise ensures a supportive and collaborative working environment, perfect for professional development and case discussion. You’ll also be backed by an exceptional nursing and support team who share a genuine passion for patient welfare and teamwork.
This role offers complete flexibility whether you’re looking for full‑time or part‑time hours, the rota can be shaped around your lifestyle and clinical interests. With 20 minute consults for all routine appointments, outsourced OOH to a dedicated hospital, and a progressive approach to both medicine and surgery (including visiting orthopaedic specialists), this is the ideal opportunity for a vet seeking variety, autonomy, and a fantastic work‑life balance in the heart of Devon.
