Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience within residential childcare
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience leading and developing managers
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare
- Proven track record of achieving “Good” or “Outstanding” Ofsted inspection outcomes
- Experience managing multiple sites within children’s social care
- Full UK Driving Licence required
- Strong knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards
- Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills
- Proven ability to manage budgets and operational performance effectively
Key Responsibilities
- Provide effective leadership across residential childcare services to ensure high standards of care and support
- Support and develop geographically dispersed services across Doncaster, Barnsley, Lincoln, and surrounding areas
- Maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders to promote services and maximise occupancy and growth opportunities
- Coach, support, and develop senior managers to enhance team performance and service delivery
- Hold Responsible Individual (RI) accountability across the region
- Ensure safeguarding responsibilities and regulatory compliance remain central to service delivery
- Monitor and manage budgets, identifying efficiencies and implementing improvements where required
- Support the development and expansion of existing and new services
- Maintain a child-centred approach focused on improving outcomes and life chances for children and young people
