Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) - Sunderland Independent Small Animal Practice

Working Hours & Flexibility:
- 4-day week – 38 hours including paid breaks
- Monday to Friday rota: 8:30am – 7:00pm
- 1 in 5 Saturday mornings (8:30am – 12:30pm, consults only)
- No OOH or on-call
- Part-time applications considered
Salary & Benefits Package:
- £30,000 starting salary (pro rata if part-time)

About the Practice:
This is a nurse-led, independent veterinary practice with a strong emphasis on teamwork, staff wellbeing, and professional development. The practice is an established RCVS Training Practice and actively supports student veterinary nurses. Facilities include:
- Digital imaging including dental radiography
- Ultrasound and endoscopy
- IDEXX in-house laboratory suite
- ECG, blood pressure, and multiparameter monitoring
- Visiting specialists in orthopaedics, keyhole surgery, and ultrasonography
- Advanced surgical procedures carried out on site
RVN Responsibilities:
- Theatre nursing and inpatient care
- Diagnostic imaging and laboratory work
- Nurse clinics and Schedule 3 procedures
- Dispensary duties and client support
- Training and mentoring student veterinary nurses
- Assisting with specialist surgical procedures
