Are you a dedicated and enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse looking to join a thriving, independent practice in the West Midlands? Our client is a modern first-opinion small animal practice with two branches, proud of its multicultural team, wealth of experience, and strong collaborative spirit.

The practice carries out a wide variety of procedures – from routine neutering and dental work to more advanced BOAS and orthopaedic surgeries – within a supportive and friendly environment that the team truly values. Both sites are well‑equipped with the latest technology, and the team is passionate about investing in new advancements to deliver the very best care.

They are now seeking a compassionate RVN to join a team of 6 Veterinary Surgeons, 7 RVNs/SVNs, and 2 Kennel Assistants. Your responsibilities will include admitting and discharging patients, running nurse clinics, providing preventative healthcare advice, ensuring clinical protocols are followed, managing stock control, and supporting the wider team.

This is a Monday–Friday role with a 1:4 Saturday rota (with a day off in lieu). The standard working week is five days, but part‑time hours can be considered. Importantly, there are no out-of-hours requirements, giving you the work‑life balance you deserve.

The first branch cares for dogs, cats, and small furries, with specialisms in Dentistry and Ultrasonography. The Head Nurse here is pursuing surgical nursing training, further strengthening the team’s expertise. The second site is a 24‑hour hospital branch, handling more complex cases with a focus on emergency and critical care. The Head Vet brings extensive experience, particularly with bull breeds, and is a registered Cambridge BOAS assessor with a true passion for the breed.

To thrive in this role, you’ll be a qualified RVN with strong communication and organisational skills, committed to providing excellent patient care and supporting your colleagues. If you’re looking for a fulfilling position in a progressive, supportive environment – this could be the perfect fit.

  • £1,500 CPD allowance with full certificate support
  • VDS cover and RCVS fees paid
