Overview
A fantastic opportunity has become available in Andover, Hampshire, for an experienced nurse to join a friendly, supportive, and forward-thinking team. The successful candidate will be joining a dedicated and approachable group of colleagues who work closely together to support one another and provide high-quality care to more than 11,000 patients in the local area. Regular support is built into the role, including bi-weekly meetings with the clinical lead, ensuring you always feel part of a connected and valued team.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care.
- Undertake treatment room work, including chronic disease management (particularly asthma and COPD), immunisations, screening, and health promotion.
- Contribute to setting and auditing standards of care.
- Support the maintenance of a safe, therapeutic, and patient-focused environment.
- Assist in developing and delivering health promotion programmes and screening clinics.
- Ensure safe storage and administration of medicines and clinical equipment.
- Provide advice and support to patients in person and via telephone.
- Actively participate in team discussions to ensure best practice is maintained.
About You
- Registered General Nurse with current NMC registration.
- Demonstrates evidence of continuing professional development.
- Experienced in primary care.
- Able to adapt to a changing healthcare environment and implement improvements.
- Strong clinical decision-making and critical thinking skills.
- Awareness of local and national health policy.
- Confident with IT systems (EmisWeb experience desirable) and basic use of Word, Excel, and email.
- Highly motivated, flexible, and committed to delivering excellent care.
Requirements
- Current UK NMC registration.
- Primary care experience is essential.
- Evidence of continuing professional development.
Desirable
- Qualifications in asthma and COPD care.
- Independent Nurse Prescriber.
