Working closely with the Home Manager, you will lead the nursing team, drive clinical excellence, and ensure the highest standards of person-centred care are delivered every day.

About the Role As the Clinical Lead / Nurse Care Manager, you will provide clinical leadership across the nursing service, supporting the Home Manager to deliver safe, effective and high-quality care.
You will lead, mentor and develop the nursing and care teams while ensuring compliance with CQC standards, clinical governance and best practice.
This role includes participation in the management on-call rota alongside the Home Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the nursing and care teams to deliver outstanding clinical care.
- Promote clinical excellence and continuous quality improvement.
- Oversee medication management, clinical audits and governance processes.
- Monitor and improve clinical outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with CQC regulations and regulatory standards.
- Support staff through supervision, coaching and professional development.
- Complete clinical assessments, care planning and risk management.
- Work closely with GPs, hospitals, multidisciplinary teams and external professionals.
- Support occupancy, resident wellbeing and family engagement.
- Participate in the home's management on-call rota.

About You To be successful you will have
- Current NMC registration with an active PIN (RGN)
- Previous experience as a Clinical Lead, Clinical Manager, Deputy Manager, Nurse Manager or Senior Nurse within a nursing home or elderly care setting
- Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and clinical governance
- Excellent leadership, coaching and communication skills
- Experience managing medication, audits and quality assurance
- Passion for delivering outstanding person-centred care
- Ability to build, motivate and retain successful nursing teams
