The Opportunity
As the successful Nursing Home Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care, compliance and operational performance. This position would suit an experienced Care Home Manager seeking a larger service or an established Registered Manager looking to join one of the leading luxury care providers in the region. The successful Nursing Home Manager will oversee nursing, dementia, residential and palliative care services while leading a committed multidisciplinary team focused on delivering exceptional outcomes for residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the home as the designated Registered Manager.
- Provide visible leadership to all clinical and non-clinical teams.
- Deliver outstanding elderly care, dementia care, nursing care and palliative care services.
- Ensure the home remains fully compliant with CQC regulations and best practice standards.
- Drive occupancy, quality, resident satisfaction and team engagement.
- Recruit, develop and retain high-performing care and nursing teams.
- Manage budgets, resources and overall home performance.
- Build strong relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals and local stakeholders.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and person-centred care.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Nursing Home Manager, Care Home Manager or Registered Manager within a nursing home setting.
- Strong background in elderly care, nursing care, dementia care and end-of-life care.
- Proven track record of managing successful care home services.
- Experience leading large teams and delivering high-quality care outcomes.
- Strong understanding of CQC regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication and people management skills.
- Commercial awareness with experience managing occupancy and financial performance.
- Nurse qualification is not essential.
