The Role

The successful Advanced Nurse Practitioner will independently assess, diagnose, treat and manage patients presenting with a wide variety of acute and minor illness conditions. They will work as an integral part of the clinical team, providing high-quality, evidence-based care whilst contributing to the ongoing development of services across the practice.

  • Manage long-term conditions where appropriate.
  • Provide health promotion and preventative care advice.
  • Refer patients appropriately to secondary care and community services.
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary primary care team.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical records using the practice clinical system.
  • Support service development and quality improvement initiatives.

Candidate Requirements

  • Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
  • Qualified Advanced Nurse Practitioner.

  • Previous experience working within Primary Care or General Practice.
  • Confident working autonomously and managing undifferentiated presentations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
