A well-established, highly respected GP Training Practice in Felixstowe is seeking an experienced Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) to join its friendly and supportive multidisciplinary team.

The successful Advanced Clinical Practitioner will work autonomously, managing a varied clinical caseload whilst working closely alongside GPs, Practice Nurses, Clinical Pharmacists, Paramedics and the wider Primary Care team. This role offers excellent clinical autonomy, protected time to deliver high-quality patient care and the opportunity to further develop specialist interests within a supportive Training Practice environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Independently assess, diagnose and treat patients presenting with acute and minor illness.
  • Manage same-day and routine appointments.
  • Request, interpret and act upon diagnostic investigations.
  • Prescribe safely and effectively (V300 Independent Prescriber desirable).
  • Develop comprehensive management plans and provide appropriate follow-up.
  • Refer patients to secondary care and community services where appropriate.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure outstanding continuity of care.
  • Promote health education, disease prevention and long-term condition management.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical records using the practice clinical system.
  • Participate in clinical meetings, audits and quality improvement initiatives.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Registered Healthcare Professional (NMC or HCPC).
  • Qualified Advanced Clinical Practitioner (Master's level or equivalent).
  • Experience working within Primary Care or General Practice is highly desirable.
  • Confident in autonomous assessment, diagnosis and clinical decision-making.
  • Independent Prescriber qualification (V300) is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
