About the Practice
- Independent group with 8 practices
- Opportunity to be part of an experienced team of 13 Vets with a range of experience and post‑grad certificates
- 95% of cases kept in house
- 4‑day week and an excellent salary and benefits package
Purovets are delighted to be working with a fantastic, independent practice with 8 branches across the Middlesex area in their search for a new veterinary surgeon. The role will be split between one of their branches and the main branch. This is a great opportunity for a Vet wanting to develop their skills as well as the branch. When at branch you are able to take cases to the main branch if required.
All branches are well equipped, across the group they have comprehensive in‑house laboratory, dental equipment, digital radiography (fixed and dental), ultrasound scanner, laparoscopy, endoscopy (both flexible and rigid), orthopaedic kit and CT Scanner onsite, with also offsite access to a 3.5T MRI scanner. As the practices are so well resourced (in terms of equipment and experience), they are fortunate to be able to work cases up to a high level both medically and surgically, keeping 95% of cases in house rather than referring. Senior Vets within the practice will support others with cases and the practice is enrolled on the Vet GDP programme.
The Role
- Work as part of a team comprised of 13 vets with a range of experience including post‑graduate certificates (Surgery, Dermatology) and AVP status (Surgery).
- CPD including certificate study is actively encouraged and with several colleagues currently studying for diagnostic imaging, surgery and cardiology certificates.
- 4‑day week with a fixed day off.
- 1 in 3 Saturdays.
- 1 on call every fortnight until 9.30pm with generous bonus scheme.
The candidate: This role would suit a Vet with a couple of years’ experience, who is confident working sole charge. A Vet looking for a varied case load and wanting to develop their skills further.
The Benefits
- Excellent Salary dependent on Experience
- RCVS, VDS, BVA, BSAVA fees covered
- £1500 CPD/5 days with additional funding for certificates
- Short term accommodation available
- Staff discount scheme
- 5 weeks holiday plus BH increasing with time served.
