Our client is seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to enhance their night teams at two proudly independent, RCVS-accredited small animal hospitals in West Sussex. This role offers a true sense of belonging and purpose, transcending the typical organisational experience.

Key Highlights:

  • Fantastic opportunity to work in two state-of-the-art hospitals established in 1972 with a loyal local client base.
  • Highly specialised equipment, including comprehensive soft-tissue and orthopaedic surgical tools, diathermy, suction machines, digital X-ray and processing software, a state-of-the-art ultrasound machine, and endoscopy with a video screen.
  • In-house laboratories for blood and urine testing, fluid-line heaters, heat mats, and a Bair Hugger unit for maintaining body temperature during anaesthesia.
  • Shift times between 7 pm and 8 am with full-time hours and a rota pattern to be discussed.
  • Excellent salary up to £72,000 DOE.

Team & Support

You will join a team of experienced veterinary professionals, including certificate holders in Small Animal Surgery, Small Animal Medicine, Emergency and Critical Care, and an RCVS Advanced Practitioner. Dedicated Veterinary Nurses and support staff will be on duty to ensure smooth overnight operations.

Qualifications & Experience

  • RCVS registration is mandatory.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an emergency and critical care (ECC) environment.
  • A certificate in ECC is advantageous but not essential.
  • Experience in coaching or mentoring is beneficial.
