A unique opportunity has arisen for a confident, experienced Veterinary Surgeon wishing to join a progressive and friendly team. Salary up to £65,000 per annum DOE and a generous benefits package. Healthy work-life balance with a 4-day week, 1:4 Saturdays and no OOH.

A progressive, forward-thinking, premium veterinary clinic is looking for a Lead Veterinary Surgeon to join their team at a lovely RCVS practice nestled in the picturesque Surrey Hills, in a quintessential English town brimming with charm and natural beauty.

Our client has two lovely, modern, bright, and well-equipped practices in the local area, with on-site surgical, diagnostic, and dental facilities including digital radiography, endoscopy, and ultrasound. The Lead Veterinary Surgeon will oversee the clinical operations of the team and serve as the primary point of management, fostering team growth to enhance the utilization of clinical services.

You will collaborate closely with the Clinical Director to provide leadership, coordination of the team, hospital, and clinical caseload, ensure shift coverage, facilitate training and development for the team, and, when not deputising, undertake duties of a vet. You will become an integral part of an accomplished team, boasting a wealth of collective experience.

The team includes a dedicated Clinical Director and a team of five highly skilled Veterinary Surgeons, some of whom are actively pursuing certificates in Small Animal Surgery and have interests in behavioural cases, sustainability, and surgery. The team also has compassionate and skilled Veterinary Nurses, Client Care Assistants, Practice Manager, and dedicated Support Staff.

The practice is situated in a town that has excellent schools, convenient transport links, and a warm community spirit, and embodies the perfect blend of heritage, culture, and a thriving modern lifestyle.
