We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, dedicated veterinary surgeon who is looking to progress into a leadership position. You will work alongside the Clinical Director and be supported in pursuing your professional interests and passions.
Key Features
- Full‐time or part‐time position
- Salary starting from £70,000 per annum (FTE) depending on experience, plus a generous benefits package
- Work‐life balance with a 4‐day week (full‐time), no out‐of‐hours, nights, or Sundays – only 1:4 Saturdays on rota (alternating full and half days)
- Ideally located within a 3‐minute walk of the nearest underground station with excellent transport links into Central London
- 24‐hour veterinary hospital with state‐of‐the‐art ultrasound and digital X‐ray, including specialised dental radiography
- Dedicated team of 4‐5 general practice clinicians, weekly ultrasonographer visits, and partnership with peripatetic orthopaedic and soft tissue surgeons
- Supportive team of registered and student veterinary nurses, receptionists, and other clinical staff
- The hospital is situated in a charming suburb in Essex, close to Epping Forest, and surrounded by excellent schools, a bustling high street, and convenient transport links into Central London
Role and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Clinical Director to maintain high standards and deliver top‐tier clinical care.
- Conduct general practice consultations and surgical procedures throughout the week, while allocating one day exclusively for administrative tasks.
- Perform thorough assessments of all cases, develop and execute preventive, diagnostic, and treatment plans.
- Foster a collaborative environment and provide mentorship to colleagues to uphold standards of care.
- Review, enhance, and ensure adherence to practice protocols in all treatment procedures.
- Collaborate with and delegate tasks to other clinical and support staff as needed.
The Rota
- Full‐time or part‐time position.
- 40 hours per week over 4 days (set day off each week).
- 1:4 Saturdays on rota (alternating full and half day).
- No nights, no on‐call, no Sundays.
