We are seeking an experienced and motivated Fire Risk Assessor to join our growing fire safety team, covering Cambridgeshire and the surrounding counties. The Role
You will be responsible for carrying out fire risk assessments across a varied portfolio of premises, ensuring compliance with current fire safety legislation and best practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting fire risk assessments in accordance with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005
- Producing clear, compliant, and well-structured FRA reports
- Identifying fire hazards, evaluating risk, and recommending practical control measures
- Liaising professionally with clients, duty holders, and managing agents
- Keeping up to date with fire safety legislation, standards, and guidance
- Managing your own workload and diary efficiently
About You
Essential:
- Proven experience carrying out fire risk assessments
- Relevant fire safety qualification (e.g. NEBOSH Fire Certificate, IFE Level 3 or 4, or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of UK fire safety legislation and guidance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
- Membership of a professional body (IFE, IFSM, IOSH, etc.)
- Experience with a range of premises (residential, commercial, HMOs, care, education, etc.)
