We are recruiting an experienced nursing home deputy manager to join a welcoming, high-quality nursing home in Witney, Oxfordshire. This nursing home deputy manager role will suit a Registered General Nurse (RGN) or Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) who is passionate about quality, compliance, and person-centred care within an elderly care home. This position is ideal for an experienced nurse manager looking to step into a senior leadership role, or an established nurse manager seeking a rewarding Deputy Manager position in Witney, Oxfordshire.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Care Home Registered Manager in day-to-day operations and leadership
- Deputise in the absence of the Nursing Home Manager
- Act as clinical lead for nursing and care practice
- Lead on clinical governance, audits, and quality improvement as a Senior Nurse / Nurse Manager
- Ensure delivery of high-quality care for older people
- Support, motivate, and develop a diverse staff team
About you:
- Registered General Nurse (RGN) or Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN)
- Experience working in a nursing or care home for older people
- Proven leadership experience as a care home deputy manager or in a similar role
- Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of best practice in elderly care
- Confident senior nurse with excellent communication and people-management skills
- Experience leading teams and driving high standards of care
- Passionate about delivering outstanding care and supporting staff development
Qualifications:
- NMC pin / Nurse qualification - RGN / RMN
- Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care Management (desirable)
- Degree or postgraduate qualification in health and social care (desirable)
Salary & Benefits:
