We are a friendly, patient-focused GP practice in Westhoughton, looking for a motivated and compassionate Practice Nurse to join our team. We welcome applications for both full-time and part-time positions.
Location: Westhoughton, Greater Manchester
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality nursing care in a primary care setting
- Manage long-term conditions (e.g., diabetes, COPD, hypertension)
- Provide immunisations, health screenings, and patient education
- Conduct wound care, ear syringing, and other clinical procedures
- Collaborate with GPs and the wider practice team to ensure continuity of care
- Maintain accurate patient records and comply with clinical governance
Essential Requirements:
- Registered Nurse (RN) with current NMC registration
- Experience in primary care or community nursing preferred
- Strong clinical and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable:
- Additional qualifications in diabetes care, respiratory care, or immunisations
- Experience with EMIS or SystmOne clinical systems
